To learn more about who is eligible to participate, please visit the Johns Hopkins SKCCC Clinical Trials website or email phase1trials@jhmi.edu.

Believe Big is excited to be in the trenches with cancer research. We are supporting Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine to develop the first clinical trial in the United States using intravenous Mistletoe. This clinical trial brings together the conventional and complementary medical communities to fight cancer.

Mistletoe treatment for cancer is used widely in Germany and Switzerland, but in the United States, every potential treatment must be studied in a series of steps, call phases. Each phase is designed to answer a separate research question. The Mistletoe clinical trial at Johns Hopkins will be a Phase 1 trial, in which researchers will be testing the drug on a small group of participants to evaluate safety, determine a safe dose, and identify side effects. This is the first step of many research steps before mistletoe can be considered for conventional use in cancer treatment.

You have the opportunity to help us fund this ground breaking trial and make it available to patients here! Because mistletoe is a natural substance and there is not a patent possibility, pharmaceutical companies will not fund this trial. Therefore, all funding has been raised through philanthropic and private donations.

We have lost too many sisters, brothers, mothers and fathers to cancer. Will you help us in helping to spread the word and help us fund this trial? By clicking on the donate link below, you can make a tax-deductible donation of any amount where 100% of the donation will go directly to funding this trial. We are so close! We have raised $465,000 of the $500,000 needed for phase 1. We can do this!

To learn more about who is eligible to participate, please email: phase1trials@jhmi.edu or click here.

Due to the high level of interest in the study, we are assessing eligibility for the study in advance of a visit to Johns Hopkins. Please provide the name and contact number for your medical oncologist and the research team will follow up with you.
